Warkleigh now has its own defibrillator thanks to successful bids for its funding from Devon County and North Devon Councils as well as a generous contribution to the overall cost from the British Heart Foundation.
The new defibrillator is housed in the Warkleigh telephone box which is still being used as another point for displaying Council notices of meetings and other information.
Now that the three parishes have two defibrillators in place (the other is in the entrance to the Village Hall) the Parish Council will be contacting all those parishioners who signed up to be first responders as it may be that the emergence of COVID-19 will have an impact on their original decision.
