The year saw steady use of the hall with many regular events for local clubs and societies:
- Regular Bowls Club activity was now held every Tuesday afternoon.
- Pilates every Wednesday morning (although that has now ceased)
- Dance classes every Wednesday evening
- Garden club meetings and events
We also saw many annual events hosted, some of which are included below:
- Flower Show
- Annual Plant Sale that went very well as usual
However, since mid March when we had to close the hall due to COVID-19 we have little or no income.
Yearend figures provided by our Treasurer highlight some of our expenses:
Some specific costs are:
Insurance |
892.83 |
||
Electricity |
1437.38 |
||
Water |
187.98 |
||
AFS Fire & Security |
99.60 |
||
PRS Music |
331.72 |
||
Building Repairs & Maint |
1362.41 |
||
Cleaning |
830.00 |
||
Windows/Doors |
2450.00 |
||
Bar Licence |
180.00 |
Income virtually matched our expenditure, mainly as a result of hire income and some incidentals such as shop & field rental.
The year also saw installation of the barge boards and soffits to finish outside, but the committee has recognised the need to raise much more substantial funds for the larger items such as a new heating system. These will be pursued via grant applications to local and national potential sources.
We also continue to see increased usage of the website, which can be accessed via www.Chittlehamholt.com. Please use for bookings and all information associated with hiring the hall.
Finally, we would like to thank the local community for their continued support in attending events and we are looking forward to re-opening as soon as it’s safe to do so.
