Devon and Cornwall Alert is a two way community messaging system operated by Devon and Cornwall Police. The system helps the police to connect with local communities, it tells people what is happening in their area and allows them to respond directly with any information.

Community Orchard Planted in The Launds
With a £300 grant from the Devon Biosphere, the Council has been able to create a community orchard of 20 fruit trees in the Launds Playing Field.
COVID-19 Vaccine Scam Texts
Devon & Cornwall Police have been alerted by different sources, to a scam that is now in wider circulation that starts with a text and advises the user that they are eligible to apply for the COVID-19 vaccine.

Community Orchards Challenge Fund
The North Devon Biosphere in partnership with Orchards Live and supported by the Devon County Council locality grants scheme and the National Lottery Heritage Fund (as part of the Pledge for Nature project) are offering small grants towards the creation and management of community orchards.
Ash Dieback Tree Removal
Ash dieback is a disease affecting ash trees in our countryside and towns. It threatens to wipe out over 90% of Britain’s native ash species and is likely to cause safety issues that need to be managed by landowners in high-risk areas.
